New Balance expands its retro running catalogue with the 1906A “Tech Explosion Silver”, a vintage-inspired colourway based on the brand’s archival tech sheets. This latest addition to the growing 1906 franchise showcases over-the-top details whilst retaining the silhouette’s streamlined structure.

Headlining the “Tech Explosion” series, this New Balance 1906A rendition flaunts an off-white mesh upper with grey synthetics and metallic silver leather overlays. Dangling layers, oversized stitching, and hanging nylon ribbons give the shoe an unfinished look, offering a style that resonates with designer Yue Wu's creative language. The unconventional placement of the NB labels on the tongue and toe cap produces a distorted aesthetic, whilst mainstay features like the “N” logo, plastic heel counter, and lateral branding maintain a retro approach. Pre-aged hues animate the ACTEVA LITE and ABZORB SBS midsole, propped up by the Stability Web outsole.
